Good day my friends and fellow warriors for wellness and thriving in life!
We have some inspiring work to do; according to the University of Maryland Medical Center recent studies indicate that the typical American diet tends to contain 14 to 25 times more omega 6 fatty acids than omega 3 fatty acids. Here's the rub: omega 6 fatty acids tend to promote inflammation. Chronic inflammation can lead to a number of serious illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc... Omega 3's, on the other hand, help reduce inflammation. Therefore, we have to bump up our daily dose of omega 3's. Here's how we can do it: increase your consumption of wild fish, flax seeds and add a daily omega 3 supplement of fish oils.
Some more food for thought in case you were looking for additional inspiration to get in the omega 3 mindset: a study of the effects of omega 3 fatty acids and cognitive decline in 210 elderly people found that those who consumed a daily average of 400 mg of EPA and DHA (found in most fish oil supplements) had less cognitive decline than those who consumed only about 20 mg per day.
Change your thinking - change your life - change your oil too!
